Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Internal work to improve the quality of technical education.

2. Ancillary works under National Education Policy 2020 (NEP-2020)

3. Various training programs organized for teaching/administrative officers in government institutions through Yashada, Pune, NITTTR, Bhopal and Maharashtra State Faculty Development Academy (MSFDA) Also, training related activities organized under the 1 Week FDP program organized by the institutions.

4. Works related to implementing the Paris-Sparsh scheme in the state.

5. Work related to establishing Centers of Excellence in Government/Aided Engineering and Diploma Institutions in the State

6. Works related to the “Prasar” scheme implemented by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of the Central Government.

7. Works related to the scheme of Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (PM-USHA) as Phase-3 of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA).

8. Work related to collaboration with IIT Mumbai and government/aided engineering institutions, MoUs and its implementation.

9. Action taken regarding translation of technical education course books into Marathi through the portal “UDAN” provided by IIT Bombay, Mumbai.

10. To provide training opportunities in industrial institutes to teachers from government/aided engineering and diploma institutions in the state. Also, work related to increasing coordination and cooperation between industrial institutions and institutions under the Department of Technical Education and taking action to provide training opportunities in industry to degree and diploma holders.

11. BOG related works in Government/Aided Autonomous Institutions.

12. With the participation of students from degree and diploma institutions of similar courses under the Directorate of Technical Education in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra and UNICEF Work related to the implementation of joint campaigns for the protection, conservation and water conservation of natural resources.

13. Joint Board of Vice-Chancellors of all Universities (JBVC) related works.

15. Legal works of the University of Technology.

16. Works related to publishing the Directorate's News Letter and Brochure.
