Swanath Scholarship Scheme
[ AICTE-Swanath Scholarship Scheme for Students (Degree / Diploma)]
The Swanath Scholarship Scheme has been started from the year 2021-22 for orphans or students whose parents or one of them has died due to COVID-19 or whose parents have been martyred in the operations of the Armed Forces and Central Paramilitary Forces studying in technical courses (diploma, degree) in institutions approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. The annual income of the family from all sources has been fixed up to Rs. 8 lakh for this scheme. The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State has been declared as the nodal office in the state of Maharashtra for this scheme.
Under this scheme, the Central Government has determined the following set of scholarships for the entire country.

The sanctioned amount of these schemes will be deposited directly into the bank accounts of the students by the Central Government under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

The scheme is implemented online through th National Scholarship Portal ( NSP ) of the Central Government (website – www.scholarships.gov.in ). To benefit from the scheme, it is mandatory for fresh students admitted in the first year and direct second year in the current academic year and for eligible students who were approved for scholarship in the previous academic year to apply for renewal online within the deadline mentioned on the NSP portal.
