The UGC has launched a National Scholarship Scheme for full-time postgraduate studies in India for students pursuing professional and non-professional postgraduate degree courses in recognized universities/colleges/institutions specified and notified by the University Grants Commission, Ministry of Education, New Delhi (UGC) from time to time. The annual income of the family from all sources has been fixed up to  Rs. 8.0 lakhs. The age limit for the students for this scholarship has been fixed below 30 years.

Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State has been declared as the nodal office for the said scheme for the state of Maharashtra from the year 2023-24.

Under this scheme, the Central Government has determined the following set of scholarships for the entire country.

The sanctioned amount of these schemes will be deposited directly into the students’ bank accounts by the Central Government under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Detailed information about these schemes is provided on the University Grants Commission website (UGC-https://www.ugc.gov.in/Scholarships/stu_Scholarship6) – National Scholarship Portal ( NSP ) of the Central Government (link – www.scholarships.gov.in).

The scheme is implemented online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) of the Central Government (website – www.scholarships.gov.in). It is mandatory for fresh students admitted to benefit from the scheme and eligible students who were approved for scholarship in the previous academic year to apply for renewal online within the deadline mentioned on the NSP portal.
