Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Subsistence Allowance Scheme

   

                    The Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra has implemented the “Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna” for students belonging to the Economically Backward Classes (EBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) who are taking admission in recognized professional courses in Government, Government Aided and Permanent Unaided Colleges/Government Universities and Sub-Centres under the Directorate of Technical Education (excluding Private Deemed Universities/Self-financed Private Universities) through the centralized admission process (excluding admissions at management quota/institution levels) and whose parents are small-land holding farmers/registered labourers/Economically Weaker Sections.


• The quota for the benefit of the scheme and the amount of benefit from the academic year 2023-24 is as follows –

The sanctioned amount of these schemes is deposited to the students in their Aadhaar linked bank accounts through the DBT portal.

Procedure for applying to avail the benefits of the above schemes:-

1) Eligible students studying in the institution should apply online for the above schemes by following the user manual and instructions given on the MahaDBT portal of the Government of Maharashtra (URL – https://mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in) and fill the entire application online as per the schedule shown on the DBT portal.
