Saksham Scholarship Scheme
The All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, has launched a Saksham Scholarship Scheme for specially abled students studying in technical courses (diploma, degree) and institutions approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. For this scheme, the annual income of the family (both parents combined) has been determined to be up to Rs. 8.00 lakhs and the disability rate should be 40% or more. From the year 2020-21, the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State has been declared as the nodal office in the state of Maharashtra for this scheme.
Under this scheme, no set number of scholarships is fixed by the Central Government and scholarships are provided to all eligible students.

The sanctioned amount of the said schemes is deposited directly into the bank account of the students by the Central Government under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

The said scheme is implemented online through the National Scholarship Portal ( NSP ) of the Central Government (website –www.scholarships.gov.in). To benefit from the said scheme, it is mandatory for the students who have been admitted in the first year and second year directly in the current academic year to apply for renewal (Renewal) by the eligible students who have been approved for scholarship in the previous academic year to apply online within the last date mentioned on the NSP portal.
