Responsibilities and Duties:

Work related to Government Aided Institutes and Grants

1. Distribution of grants to aided institutions and initiation of grant process.

2. Monitoring the expenditure of aided institutions.

3.For additional expenditure of aided institutions, preparation of financial expenditure proposals and sending to Accounts Section (Item No. 15).

4. Work related to disbursement of non-salary grants to aided technical and non-technical institutions through Accounts Section (Item No. 6).

5. Work related to assessment of aided institutions

6. Approval of purchase proposals required by aided institutions.

7. Preparation of utilization certificates of all aided institutions and their submission to Government of India in various formats.

8. . Preparation of proposals for sanction/allocation/release/restriction of grants for aided polytechnics and aided engineering/technical degree/diploma institutions under the Budget Head 2203.

9. Work related to sanction, distribution, and monitoring of scholarship/stipend/expenditure under Budget Head 2049 to aided institutions.
